Sam [00:00:21]:
Hello, and welcome to episode 505 of the Chris and Sam podcast.

Chris [00:00:25]:
I’m Chris.

Sam [00:00:26]:
And I’m Sam. Welcome along to your weekly fix of randoms technology in life brought to you from anywhere in the world because we have the technology, and Chris is sick or has been. So we’re doing this remotely so he doesn’t spread his germs.

Chris [00:00:42]:
Yeah. Pretty much. I thought it was quite fitting being 505 because it looks like SOS, which is pretty

Sam [00:00:50]:
much

Chris [00:00:51]:
what my whole week has been. So I’ve spent pretty much, literally, actually, a week in bed, sick. And I was just saying to Sam, this is the first time I’ve spoken to anyone today. Actually, probably for 2 days. So yay.

Sam [00:01:07]:
So you’re in you’re in for a treat. As always, if he gets too excited, he’s gonna cough his lung up.

Chris [00:01:14]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I’ll try not to to do that.

Sam [00:01:17]:
Have you so is that it? That your week, you haven’t done anything else?

Chris [00:01:21]:
Nothing. Nothing. Okay. So Friday last week, midday Friday, I went to I thought, oh, I feel a bit crook, and I had a nap. And then I I, slept through, and I was pretty much crook as ever since.

Sam [00:01:35]:
Okay. Well, I haven’t been, so that’s good. On the weekend, I went to Armageddon

Chris [00:01:41]:
Oh, nice.

Sam [00:01:43]:
Which, I think the last time I was there was 5 years ago. You were there then. Yeah. And, yeah. It’s it’s just not as good. It’s interesting because there was someone did a post on Reddit, and they said, what the hell happened to Armageddon? And every single thing oh, except for they were talking about cosplayers and how crappy some of the costumes were and everybody roasted him for that. But, yeah. There’s lots and lots of people selling junk.

Sam [00:02:15]:
And it seems to be that’s what it is. It’s more of that. There is very few large stands. Like, there’s no huge gaming like, you know when you walked in there, it was, like, huge? Yeah. Thanks. So there’s a couple of interesting things. There was a guy called, okay. So there’s a dude, young guy.

Sam [00:02:36]:
I think he’s from Christchurch. His name is Mega Will Bot. His name’s Will. The company is called Mega Will Bot dotcom. I don’t think his website works. So that’s fun. I actually interviewed this dude. So I’m gonna release this one and only random talking thing.

Chris [00:02:52]:
Oh, okay.

Sam [00:02:53]:
Yep. He’s very intense. He knows his stuff, and his stuff is 3 d printing.

Chris [00:02:59]:
Oh, okay. Alright. Yeah.

Sam [00:03:01]:
So we said with you

Chris [00:03:02]:
Sarah was with you at home again?

Sam [00:03:04]:
No. Had Chloe with me.

Chris [00:03:05]:
Oh, yeah. Okay.

Sam [00:03:07]:
This is the second person in as many weeks that I’ve been talking to about 3 d printing. And, this guy, you’ll hear it in when I release the episode. But, basically, he went to uni because his parents said you have to go to uni. And he said, I went to learn how to become a proper human, which I believe. Yeah. And, he has a couple

Chris [00:03:29]:
but I just assume that’s the case.

Sam [00:03:32]:
So he’s perfected and built a couple of 3 d models. And, one of them is this, which I purchased off him.

Chris [00:03:39]:
Oh, nice. Pumpkin.

Sam [00:03:41]:
Yeah. And it’s a spider pumpkin. So it opens up. Oh. And inside is like a spider body.

Chris [00:03:50]:
That’s pretty cool. You have to put some, some, images in the chat for that. In the

Sam [00:03:56]:
Yeah. And yeah. Yeah. So he’s reiterated this over many years. He prints a really high quality product. If any of these bits falls off or I lose it or somehow it breaks, he’ll replace it for free. He has a dragon that starts off in the shape of a castle.

Chris [00:04:14]:
Oh, wow.

Sam [00:04:15]:
Yeah. You pull it apart, and then it’s a dragon. And it’s very cool. And it’s taken him forever to design. And we were talking a little bit about that. He he’ll pick up his model and just throw it on the ground because there’s a misconception that 3 d printed stuff will break as soon as you touch it. But only if you don’t know what you’re doing and you’re using crap product.

Chris [00:04:35]:
Yeah. Yeah.

Sam [00:04:35]:
So yeah, so that was good. We caught a glimpse of Jason Momoa. That, you know, that was something.

Chris [00:04:44]:
He’s the other guy.

Sam [00:04:46]:
Oh, he was sitting down, so I think I could have taken him.

Chris [00:04:49]:
Alright.

Sam [00:04:50]:
Yeah. No. The other cool thing they had oh, hang on. Bear with me. They had robot rampage there. And robot rampage is like battle bots.

Chris [00:05:00]:
Oh, nice.

Sam [00:05:02]:
And I think I’ve liked this, event that’s coming up. And in February, they’re having the Robot Rampage arena. It’s $25 to watch these robots fight, and it’s only hung a mall. Oh, they’re doing 1 PM and 6 PM. And there’s a 113 kilo class and 13.6 kilo class. So that’s all fun and want. Good.

Chris [00:05:26]:
A 100 and 16 kilos. That’s, those are big robots.

Sam [00:05:31]:
That’s a yeah. Well, that’s those I think that’s, like, how big and heavy they are. Those real big ones you used to see on TV.

Chris [00:05:36]:
I suppose I suppose. Yeah. The hammer ones and stuff. Yeah.

Sam [00:05:39]:
Yeah. So at Armageddon, they had an enclosed little arena about the size of a pool table, I guess. Square, though. And it was enclosed and you could pay $10 and you could remote control a little robot about this big.

Chris [00:05:55]:
Yeah.

Sam [00:05:56]:
And they’d put little color panels on it. So when you smashed or hit the other one with an arm, you had to get the panels off, but you weren’t destroying the robot. And I thought, oh, that’s pretty cool. That’s interesting. So, anyway, they’ve got this other thing, and it’s called the build and fight robots. And I think it’s these little ones. You can have a team. You register your team.

Sam [00:06:19]:
I think it’s 4 people. Yep. Team of 4. You pay $200. And on the day they give you a robot to fight with, they give you all the tools to fix it, and they help you fix it between rounds. So I thought that was pretty clever.

Chris [00:06:36]:
So much fun.

Sam [00:06:38]:
Yeah. So you

Chris [00:06:39]:
I I I reckon that would be a cool thing. Like, you and Chloe and another parent and their son or daughter or something like that. You know what I mean? Like, that would be Yeah.

Sam [00:06:50]:
So it it’s it’s $50 per person because it’s 200. And,

Chris [00:06:53]:
It’s nothing really, like, these days.

Sam [00:06:56]:
No. No. No. No. So I thought that was pretty clever. And, hopefully, it goes well for them. Robot row robot rampage. Rampage.robotrampage.codanz.

Sam [00:07:10]:
And that was pretty much the only things that were interesting to me. Yeah.

Chris [00:07:15]:
No. No. No. Those are cool. Those are cool. Yeah. Because I I guess it so I haven’t been since COVID anyway. I remember we talked about going to the one just after COVID and went, nah.

Chris [00:07:28]:
Not with the effort. Not with the potential. No. COVID was still a bit of a a mess. But yeah. So I suppose it’s it’s died off within in terms of, like, gaming sponsors and all the rest of it. Is that

Sam [00:07:44]:
A little bit. I’ll tell you who was doing some good stuff there was, Mountain Dew. Oh, yeah. Got mount got multiple drinks, a frisbee, a key ring, and socks, all in the space of 30 seconds. So that was cool.

Chris [00:07:58]:
Did that, that used car place have the ladies giving out their hats again? Nope. Oh, what?

Sam [00:08:06]:
No. There was there was there was very there was a lot of stuff jammed in there, but it was people selling either 3 d printed stuff. And they’re all selling the same sort of stuff, and they talked about it on Reddit. And a lot of you’ll see them everywhere. It’s a colorful dragon, and they’re multiple sizes, and they flex. Right? And that’s what they call a print in place print, which means you print everything all in one go. And the 3 d printer allows it to be complete ready, and you don’t have to assemble it. And someone said, why are they all selling the same thing? And someone says, oh, that’s selling that they’ve brought a $5 pack for the files.

Sam [00:08:49]:
Mhmm. So they paid $5, and the the person that created it said, oh, you you can sell anything that, you create. So they’re all doing that. Very in quality, but they were, like, very expensive or, not very good. Anyway, Mega Will Bot jumped in on the Reddit post and explained it all, from his perspective as well.

Chris [00:09:08]:
Oh, okay.

Sam [00:09:09]:
Yeah. Interesting dude.

Chris [00:09:12]:
Cool. No. No. That sounds good. That sounds well, it’s a 100% better than anything I’ve done this week.

Sam [00:09:18]:
That’s right.

Chris [00:09:19]:
Pretty much was lying down and holding my ribs as as they hurt coughing.

Sam [00:09:23]:
The only bit the only bit that’s different from your normal week is the coughing, but normally you’re lying around holding your ribs.

Chris [00:09:32]:
I didn’t do any exercise this week, but in the Oh, yeah. That would have screwed it up. No. In the last month, I have lost 5 KG. So I’ve been Nice. Keeping the diet right. But, but I haven’t

Sam [00:09:45]:
Talking about the diet keeping the diet correct, did you hear the news that Whitaker’s has to change its chocolate a little bit?

Chris [00:09:53]:
No. What’s up?

Sam [00:09:55]:
So there’s a global cocoa bean shortage. Right?

Chris [00:09:58]:
Oh, no.

Sam [00:10:00]:
And this there’s one part of the story that tickled my interest, shall I say. So, basically, they’ve always said that their beans are coming from Ghana, And there’s not enough beans in Ghana. So they’ve had to go to some other African places and, get cocoa beans to back up if there’s a shortage. And they’re still gonna be from, ethical growers and all that sort of stuff. They did say there is a potential of a slight change in taste depending where the cocoa bean comes from. So anyway, they’re still fully traceable. 100% Rainforest Alliance certified. Blah blah blah.

Sam [00:10:44]:
So there was a big storm. There was disruptions and all sorts of stuff over there. And they lost a 160,000 tons of cocoa due to smuggling.

Chris [00:10:57]:
Holy crap.

Sam [00:10:58]:
Which is a third of its harvest. And in my brain, I’m picturing people just jamming it down their pants and walking around with their pockets. Yeah. That’s pretty that’s a lot.

Chris [00:11:12]:
That’s ridiculous. Yeah. No. That’s the level of smuggling that is.

Sam [00:11:18]:
Oh, yeah. Like, it’s it’s like truckloads and truckloads. I guess

Chris [00:11:22]:
gotta say is can somebody’s, like, made a container disappear. A couple of contain you know, a few

Sam [00:11:27]:
Like, I’d really I’d really like it’s one of those things that, if you’ve listened to this podcast, you’ll know. I’d really like to know how the logistics are working of the smuggling. You know?

Chris [00:11:38]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, having imported oil from countries like that, like, when I was at Gilmour’s, like, contrain containers, loads of rice and and unloading those and all that sort of stuff, gives Gives you an idea of yeah.

Sam [00:11:55]:
Because there’s a problem with the oil at the moment. Like, you can’t get olive oil easily because there was some huge disruption somewhere, and then they made it they they are supplying Europe, and then the rest of the world’s like Basinger, I think.

Chris [00:12:10]:
Oh, really?

Sam [00:12:11]:
No. From what I gather because it olive oil went it’s really expensive now if you can get some.

Chris [00:12:17]:
Yeah. I I’ve been looking, and I’ve been going, oh, this is a bit expense. I’ll have to go back to Gilmore’s at some point, but I haven’t had a chance. And,

Sam [00:12:25]:
because because you because you’re sick and you can only carry so much on your bike.

Chris [00:12:29]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Plus, I, I haven’t got paid from from my, TEDx thing. And I had Chase What? Go, what what’s going on with my, invoice?

Sam [00:12:40]:
Let’s go let’s go kick some doors down at the uni.

Chris [00:12:43]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, I wanna talk about these this this fire station, Wozen, somewhere in Germany. Let me see if I can find out where. Oh, yeah. That’s right. The story is in German.

Chris [00:12:57]:
Goddamn it. I hate that when that happens.

Sam [00:13:00]:
Hang on. How did you find out about the story then?

Chris [00:13:04]:
The I the usual place, I think. But, translate. Okay. It’s in Stadtollendorf. Stadtollendorf.

Sam [00:13:17]:
Nice.

Chris [00:13:19]:
So on the night of Wednesday, firefighters in Stadtollendorf were woken up by the bell to help save their own building.

Sam [00:13:28]:
Were they in it, or did they have to come from somewhere else?

Chris [00:13:31]:
So this is a new big fire station. $15,000,000 of euros in damage. €20,000,000,000 in damage. And it’s a brand new fire station. It’s it’s I think, it’s maybe a year or something old or something like that. I just I did read it at some point. The social wing of the building complex was saved. However, the whole building of complex, is stuffed.

Chris [00:14:02]:
Yeah. But do you know why this

Sam [00:14:06]:
Oh, no. Happened? Why?

Chris [00:14:09]:
They had no fire alarm in the main fire station.

Sam [00:14:14]:
Oh, that’s weird, Like

Chris [00:14:18]:
I’m surprised they even got, consent with that. Like

Sam [00:14:22]:
Yeah. Like Do you have

Chris [00:14:23]:
to have a fire alarm for any commercial building?

Sam [00:14:27]:
In most places around the world, but maybe not there. I’m not sure. But you would think so there.

Chris [00:14:31]:
Particularly a fire station. It’s just so anyway. So anyway, I I thought it’s funny just because of that. The the fire could be seen from a fire from afar. The firefighters tried to save what could still be saved. Yeah. So Crazy. Yeah.

Chris [00:14:54]:
Yeah. Anyway yeah. I’m not gonna read it.

Sam [00:14:55]:
You know you know a while ago, we were talking about Pizza Hut printing CVs on a pizza box?

Chris [00:15:03]:
Yeah. Yeah.

Sam [00:15:04]:
Was it Domino’s or Pizza Hut? Whatever.

Chris [00:15:06]:
No. I’m pretty sure it was Pizza Hut. And I see Okay. If they did, ads for, like, the latest movie coming out or Yeah.

Sam [00:15:13]:
Yeah. So it seem it seems like it’s just this one Pizza Hut location that’s doing all the stuff, I think, in New York. So that CV thing was only for, like, 4 people or something, and they were gonna vet it. And it was gonna be super specific of who it was and where it went to. Like, it was like like anyway, on the October 22nd 23rd, so about a week ago, they made they opened up a single person Pizza Hut. Yeah. Yeah. So it’s a bit bigger than a phone box.

Sam [00:15:47]:
It looks like a little Pizza Hut with a red roof. You could reserve your spot to eat on this pizza by yourself, and they would give you, 1 6 inch personal pan pizza. It’s the first and smallest reservation only dine in personal restaurant ever. And it was to sell

Chris [00:16:06]:
person? It’s not like 2 people can sit in there or

Sam [00:16:09]:
No. It was just one person. And, it was for to help celebrate National Pizza Month. So, apparently, that was a thing.

Chris [00:16:19]:
It brings pop up stores to a whole new level.

Sam [00:16:23]:
Yes. And, I mean, it has windows and stuff. Like, it’s like a little tiny building. Like yeah. I mean, good for marketing, I guess. So we’re talking about it, and we’re nowhere near New York. So

Chris [00:16:36]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That sort of thing becomes more of an art than a, actual Yes. You know what I mean? Performance art. So alright. It’s cool.

Chris [00:16:49]:
I I had did have this this story I I quite I thought was interesting. So let me read this bit out. The World Conquer Championships. Do you know what Conkers is?

Sam [00:17:05]:
Yeah. Like, the things on a string, and you smash each other.

Chris [00:17:08]:
Yeah. Chestnuts on a string.

Sam [00:17:09]:
He’s Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Chris [00:17:10]:
And whoever breaks or whatever.

Sam [00:17:12]:
Okay.

Chris [00:17:14]:
Yeah. So this guy, David Jenkins, he he’s old. He’s 82 years old, and he’s been competing, since 1977.

Sam [00:17:30]:
Well, at least he’s got a hobby, I guess.

Chris [00:17:33]:
Yeah. And he finally won this year. He won the World Conquer Championships.

Sam [00:17:40]:
Oh, hang on. So he hasn’t even been winning this whole time?

Chris [00:17:43]:
No. He hasn’t been winning.

Sam [00:17:45]:
Oh, okay.

Chris [00:17:45]:
This time, he’s won. Yeah. But some people are like, somebody called foul play Yeah. That, 23 year old that he was, conquering against. I guess that’s what it is.

Sam [00:18:01]:
Yeah. Conquered. Yeah.

Chris [00:18:03]:
This 23 year old said, my conquer disintegrated in one hit, and that just doesn’t happen. I’m suspicious of foul play and of expressing surprise to organizers. Yeah. And they stopped the old guy and checked it out. And in his pocket, he had a steel chestnut.

Sam [00:18:23]:
Hey. What?

Chris [00:18:25]:
Yep. He had a ring. So

Sam [00:18:28]:
was he actually cheating? Must have been,

Chris [00:18:31]:
Jacan said, I was found with the steel Conker in my pocket, but I only carry it around with me for humor value. I did not use it during the event.

Sam [00:18:40]:
That old trick.

Chris [00:18:42]:
I didn’t help prepare Conkers before the tournament, but this isn’t a cheating or a fix, and I didn’t mark the strings.

Sam [00:18:49]:
What’s this what does he mean by mark the strings? I don’t

Chris [00:18:52]:
know what that means, and I don’t Oh. Can’t.

Sam [00:18:55]:
No. I wonder if they have to select which one they wanna use. That’s weird. But the like, I’ll I’ll take this back to pump

Chris [00:19:04]:
and grow.

Sam [00:19:05]:
Do you want

Chris [00:19:05]:
me to get suggestions that King Conker had marked the strings of the harder nuts. We can

Sam [00:19:11]:
get people

Chris [00:19:13]:
involved in drilling and lacing the nuts before the event.

Sam [00:19:17]:
I find it hard to believe he used the steel one because it would have seemed so weird.

Chris [00:19:21]:
Yeah. More than 2,000 conkers had been prepared prior to the event. Holy Woah. I didn’t realize there’s that many.

Sam [00:19:31]:
That’s a good event. But it’s like when people say about, like, giant pumpkins and stuff, when you’ve been doing it a while, you know when something weighs a funny weight. Like, you’d know.

Chris [00:19:43]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, but, yeah, they they’re checking it out, but I don’t think they’re definite one way or another. But he did some of these steel ones in his pocket. But he is his his nickname is King Conquer.

Sam [00:19:57]:
I mean, he’s been doing it forever, but has he just got desperate over the years? But also, wouldn’t you make one out of wood? I’d make one out of wood to match an actual proper one and then varnish it and stuff. Like, I wouldn’t go with steel.

Chris [00:20:12]:
Well, I’m assuming the steel was painted, so it looked wood.

Sam [00:20:16]:
Yeah. But he I don’t know. I still think it’s a bit weird. Did we talk about those guys that got busted for cheating at the fishing?

Chris [00:20:24]:
No. I don’t think so.

Sam [00:20:26]:
Or was that on a podcast? Oh, it was

Chris [00:20:28]:
on a pod I think it was

Sam [00:20:29]:
on a podcast episode. I think it was on Criminal. And it was a big news story maybe 6 months ago. And these guys had been winning these fish competitions for ages and ages and ages. And, somebody goes, something’s not right. And they said stop them. And then the police had to come and do all sorts of stuff and oh, turn up. And they cut open the fish that they’d freshly caught, but looked like they’d been pulled out of a fish tank and were, like, dead.

Sam [00:20:56]:
And they were full of, like, weights. And, they went to jail over it. There was 2 of them.

Chris [00:21:03]:
Oh,

Sam [00:21:04]:
because they’ve been winning boats and all this prize money, and they’ve been traveling around. And they always seem to have and I think what they ended up doing was they, like, put too much weight in a small fish, so it didn’t seem right. And and the organizers were like, I don’t know what to do. And then there was video of the guy going, okay. And he cut it open, which they don’t normally do, but I think they might do now. Yeah. And they were like, this this is, you know, fraud, I think is the word they like

Chris [00:21:34]:
to use.

Chris [00:21:35]:
Yeah. No. That’s not it’s sad.

Sam [00:21:37]:
Talking about fraud, do you know what AG1 is?

Chris [00:21:42]:
No. It it’s Okay. Yeah. But I don’t know what it is now.

Sam [00:21:46]:
Okay. Athletic greens.

Chris [00:21:48]:
Oh, yeah. Yeah.

Sam [00:21:49]:
Yeah. Okay. Because

Chris [00:21:50]:
they do a lot of, a lot of advertising in a lot of the YouTube videos that I I watch. They do a lot of sponsorship. Athletic Greens.

Sam [00:22:00]:
Yeah. Yeah. And podcasts and Joe Rogan and all of that.

Chris [00:22:03]:
Yeah.

Sam [00:22:04]:
Did you know the founder was a Kiwi?

Chris [00:22:06]:
I think I did hear that because I think it was Yeah. Farris that first talked about it back in the day.

Sam [00:22:12]:
So he built it up to, like, 1,200,000,000 US dollars, this company.

Chris [00:22:16]:
Holy shit. I didn’t realize it’s that big.

Sam [00:22:19]:
Yeah. It’s massive. And he has sort of resigned because he has a shady New Zealand criminal history that’s come out. Okay. Yeah. This podcast investigation looked into him, and they were figuring out some stuff about the revenues and some misleading claims. And this is on the Delve Powder Keg Podcast, whatever that is. More than 10 years ago, the New Zealand Commerce Commission took out 2 successful criminal prosecutions against him because he was doing the rent to buy scheme, the houses, but never transferred the title to the people.

Sam [00:23:00]:
They just took their money. And, he was supposed to pay it back, and he never did. And then he basically somehow skipped the country, I think, ended up in the US and somehow set up this company. Right? Athletic Greens. And he’s got people like Gwyneth Paltrow, spelting it, Joe Rogan, just to name a few. And one of the things I didn’t know this is, where is it? He claims it was heavily marketed, but not here, must be overseas, that it was made in New Zealand, But it’s not even sold here. And, it’s not made here. It’s somewhere else.

Sam [00:23:43]:
And the company’s registered to a subsidiary of his father Philip as the director. Like, it’s probably multiple layers deep.

Chris [00:23:55]:
Yeah. That Dodge.

Sam [00:23:57]:
So anyway, this former president and chief operating officer, Kat Cole, was promoted to chief executive in July, and they’re projecting to generate more than $600,000,000 in revenue, and be profitable this fiscal year. Good on them.

Chris [00:24:14]:
Yeah. It’s it’s a shame because I think it’s a good product. I haven’t tried it.

Sam [00:24:18]:
So.

Chris [00:24:19]:
I think it’s pretty good. Because I I have the the new Zest version, and I quite

Sam [00:24:26]:
So anyway yeah. $182,000 in fines that he never paid back. So yeah.

Chris [00:24:33]:
Well, he can afford to pay them all now, I’m assuming.

Sam [00:24:37]:
Yeah. I assume so. But he sort of said I haven’t I think he said he didn’t did he he didn’t wanna answer any questions. And he said it was a long time ago when, obviously, I’ve had, like, a checkered history background, but that’s not me now. So

Chris [00:24:52]:
Yeah. Good one, bro. Good one.

Sam [00:24:54]:
Good one, bro. And if you’re wondering what to do on the weekend of 22nd 24th, come to Tia Amutu and check out Misty Flix Film Festival, mistyflix.co.nz, where we have strung together some films and some talks and a pitch competition that, you know, some people have entered.

Chris [00:25:15]:
Should be good. Should be good. I am looking forward to that. I haven’t really given much thought this week. Like, my brain has been very slow. I’m actually quite pleased that I’m keeping up with this podcast, to be honest with you.

Sam [00:25:29]:
Because you know how high pay how high paced we are Yeah. When there’s just 2 of us.

Chris [00:25:34]:
I have been really brain dead this week. So, yeah. So I must be on the mend is the main thing, and I have to get back to work on Monday. But, cool. Alright. What what else was I gonna say? Oh, there was something else, but I’ve forgotten now.

Sam [00:25:50]:
That’s good. Don’t worry about it.

Chris [00:25:51]:
Having said how how on the ball I am.

Sam [00:25:55]:
It seems, pretty standard. You’ll be fine. Shout out to the new worker at work. She’s already listened to the podcast. She said we sound quite professional and, must have had a lot of experience doing this for so long. Do we worry about some of the things we say? The episode she listened to was the one about the young filmmaker. And I said, no, I we have conversations off air, and I will back up anything that I’ve said in a podcast. So I don’t Yeah.

Sam [00:26:29]:
Like, we do censor ourselves a little bit.

Chris [00:26:31]:
Yeah. We do. And, I mean, there are a bunch of stories we’ve shared over the years that have been we’ve subsequently found out we’re wrong, and we’ve been quite Yeah. Yeah. Saying, yeah. No. We listened to the wrong place or we listened. Yeah.

Chris [00:26:47]:
Oh, that’s what I was gonna say. Did you mentioned Joe Rogan. Have you heard anything about this, Trump, interview with Joe Rogan?

Sam [00:26:56]:
No. Is he So He’s doing some random stuff. I saw him in a dump truck a trash truck.

Chris [00:27:02]:
Yeah. Joe Rogan interviewed him for 3 hours. Recently? Yeah. Yeah. Last week.

Sam [00:27:09]:
Yeah.

Chris [00:27:10]:
And, bit of a dumpster fire, I think, really. You can’t be surprised. Although people were surprised how much Joe Rogan was

Sam [00:27:21]:
Fanboy?

Chris [00:27:23]:
Yeah. Yeah. Basically. Is that

Sam [00:27:24]:
is that the best way of putting that?

Chris [00:27:26]:
Yeah. Babying him along and and and answering questions for him and pushing back on stuff. Although he he did sort of he said, did you actually lose the election in 2020 or whatever it was? Yeah, 2020? And he goes, yeah. Well oh, no. No. I didn’t. And he goes, I only lost by a little bit. I mean, I didn’t lose.

Chris [00:27:47]:
But if I did lose, it would have been by a little bit. And he goes, yeah. But seriously, you you’ve lost in court. And they he goes, what did he say? He goes, I could bring you the papers. I could show you all the papers. Could show you the papers. You’d be surprised. I’ve got all this evidence.

Chris [00:28:04]:
And it’s like and it didn’t push back on any of that. And it’s like, yeah. But if you had the evidence, wouldn’t you have taken it to court with one of those 60 court cases you lost?

Sam [00:28:14]:
So Oh my gosh.

Chris [00:28:16]:
Anyway, I I just thought it was funny that he even went on there. And people were saying, oh, Kamala should have gone on. So apparently, that almost happened, but there was a clash time clash thing. Like, they just couldn’t pull it.

Sam [00:28:31]:
Oh, yeah. Yeah.

Chris [00:28:32]:
But, yeah, the, election is, what, next Tuesday? Tuesday, Wednesday.

Sam [00:28:36]:
I’m, it’s gonna be chaos. We might have to have a special episode just for you to get out all your feelings.

Chris [00:28:43]:
I won’t because we won’t know who’s won for another month.

Sam [00:28:47]:
Okay. Well, when that happens, you can give your little

Chris [00:28:49]:
Once the rifle fire has quietened down after the insurrection.

Sam [00:28:54]:
Well, we’ll see. I’m just happy that we’re over here and, not there. So, anyway, until next time. I’m Sam.

Chris [00:29:01]:
I’m Chris. See you.
