Responsibilities HRI Hospital is seeking Full Time Mental Health Advocates!
HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. Website: As a Mental Health Advocate, you will: - Monitor patient safety on the inpatient psychiatric units
- Assist nursing staff with patient treatment procedures
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
- Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
- Assist with patient groups and activities

Qualifications Requirements - Experience & Education:
- High School Diploma AND a minimum of 3 years of psychiatric experience
OR - Bachelor's degree in human services field or current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree AND 1 year of psychiatric experience
- Other:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Physical Fitness - Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working with patients in acute psychiatric distress
