Chris [00:00:25]:

I’m Chris.

Sam [00:00:26]:

And I’m Sam. Welcome along to your weekly fix of randomness technology in life. If you know somebody that wants some of that in their life, Tell them about our podcast.

Chris [00:00:33]:

Yes. Yes. As Sam always tried to trademark, tell a friend.

Sam [00:00:40]:

I did because I was listening to Radio Hioreki on the radio on my car, which I don’t normally listen to. They were promoting their Radio show slash podcast, I’ve got a problem with that too because all these bloody radio shows all push out, an edit of this show as a podcast, and now the ones that win all the podcast awards. And I don’t think that happens anywhere else in the world, really. Anyway, they were like, tell a friend at the end, and, I didn’t like that.

Chris [00:01:09]:

He’s like, we’re We’re the only ones that can say that. But no. That’s all good.

Sam [00:01:12]:

I know. I think they ripped us off. That’s the main thing.

Chris [00:01:17]:

I I’m gonna start off with this Christmas prep thing. I’ve got a I’ve got a bunch of stuff for us to talk about, so that’s all good. And this, if you pop into that, Christmas prep and open up the link.

Sam [00:01:29]:

I’m there.

Chris [00:01:30]:

Yeah. Cool. Good. So advent calendars are And not something I ever grew up with, knew anything really about. But, actually, I say that I’ll say that again. My grandmother, I think, once Gave us an advent calendar, but mine was anti

Sam [00:01:46]:

Oh, it would not have gone down well.

Chris [00:01:48]:

Thing. So, yeah, that didn’t go down well, but I yeah. So I get the idea of it, but I love this. Oh. This is the Die Hard Advent Calendar, and it’s it’s a building, the Nakatomi Plaza building

Sam [00:02:01]:

Yeah.

Chris [00:02:01]:

With 24 floors or whatever, And Hans Gruber moves down a floor every day, and I just think it’s cool. I just think it’s cool.

Sam [00:02:11]:

Like it’s made out of that laser Cut, balsa wood stuff. Oh, what? There’s 3 different versions. There’s a creamy colored one, sort of bluey gray, And the black one’s the best one because it’s got a helicopter at the top with an explosion.

Chris [00:02:24]:

Yeah. Yeah. By far, that’s the best. In it?

Sam [00:02:26]:

Or is it or do you get to put anything in it? Oh, no.

Chris [00:02:28]:

I think it’s just a countdown. Just the countdown, and then you make a game out of it. But, yeah, for the die hard fans out there

Sam [00:02:34]:

For the die hard die hard fans.

Chris [00:02:38]:

It’s such a cheap joke, but I gotta laugh. Yeah. No. The Die Hard Die Hard fans. Yes. No. I think it’s pretty cool. I thought it was good.

Chris [00:02:45]:

I thought it’d start with that. Do you wanna talk about the next thing on that that I’ve got on the list? Because we were both there, so you may as well talk about that.

Sam [00:02:52]:

So Misty Flix is coming up very soon. It’s coming up on the 24th and 25th and 26th? Yep. That sounds about right. It’s in Thiamutu. Come along. Come see us. Come see the films. That’s more important.

Sam [00:03:03]:

Now we’ve been doing some prep work to help out with volunteers with this thing.

Chris [00:03:07]:

Yeah. So we’ll be there on the days, well, We’ll be somewhere.

Sam [00:03:12]:

First up, shout out to the Taormu library, Wipad district library, actually. Yep. They helped us out. We’re gonna use one of their rooms. Allowed to put up the 1 poster, which is good. And, but what we did was went back to the movie theater. We hung out with Adam, and we were checking sound levels

Chris [00:03:27]:

For for the Yeah. For the play show. So they they put a bank bunch of shorts together. If you’ve never been to a short film festival before, they put a whole bunch of short films together in the block. And he wanted us to listen to them to see because some films are louder than others, some are quieter, and we need to even it out. So we were taking some notes.

Sam [00:03:47]:

And and it’s great when there’s only 2 or 3 of you watching the films.

Chris [00:03:50]:

Is that yeah. It’s empty cinema with me and Sam in it for a good part of it.

Sam [00:03:54]:

For a big part of it. There was a short film that you need to come and see. It’s called Proud Hooligan.

Chris [00:03:59]:

It’s awesome.

Sam [00:04:00]:

It’s so good. I don’t and and It’s been written by AI, which I saw that in the program, and I was like, I’m not sure what that means or how well it’s going to be. And we don’t know what they used or what prompts they used or what feedback they actually used. Like, I don’t know.

Chris [00:04:16]:

And we don’t know how far back it was written by AI. Because I don’t Yes. Yeah. I think it would have been an earlier version because I don’t know how old. It must have been over a year ago that the

Sam [00:04:24]:

That’s so sad. It’s very cool. It’s very funny. We laughed a lot.

Chris [00:04:28]:

Yeah. A lot. And it’s the interpretation that they have of the AI that really brings it to life. That’s what’s awesome.

Sam [00:04:37]:

Yes. And it’s really cool. Can’t wait to hopefully like, come along, see it. Like, literally, if there’s only 1 film you come and see, come see that. Yeah. Tickets are up for sale at mystiflix.co.nz. It’s pretty cheap. You get about an hour’s worth of entertainment for each block, I think, roughly, and you get to see a bunch of films that have some sort of connection to The Waikato.

Sam [00:04:59]:

Waikato?

Chris [00:04:59]:

Yeah. Yeah. Waikato in in general. One of the films that we’ll be showing there is Tiki Thane’s film.

Sam [00:05:06]:

Yes.

Chris [00:05:06]:

And they’re showing it on the Friday night and which is an opening in the Saturday night, and Tiki will be there, and Steve’s interviewing him on the Friday night. I’m interviewing him on stage in front of everybody after the showing on the Saturday night.

Sam [00:05:20]:

So Are you going to watch On Saturday Friday night, what Steve does, or does that stuff you up? Because you’re the 2 whitest guys interviewing this guy. Just throwing that out there as well. So

Chris [00:05:32]:

we’re gonna share notes beforehand. What that means is because Steve doesn’t know me as well as you know me. What that means is Steve’s gonna share with me his notes because I have no notes.

Sam [00:05:43]:

I’m expecting you to go on Wikipedia and just take it further verbatim.

Chris [00:05:47]:

I’ve already See, I’ve already put it in my web chat. Does anybody know anything about Tikitane? I think what’s interesting? What’s his deal? Who is he? Oh my

Sam [00:05:57]:

Good luck with that.

Chris [00:05:59]:

I’ll do some research.

Sam [00:06:00]:

We did also, watch a film which I can’t remember what it’s called now off the top of my head. The stop motion sort of animated one.

Chris [00:06:07]:

Oh my god.

Sam [00:06:08]:

For some reason, it was a 1,000 decibels, and, we had our hands on our ears, and we were yelling at each other.

Chris [00:06:13]:

Yeah. That was So loud. Oh my god. I can’t remember what it was called. I was too busy, getting my hands on my ears. The the other thing, there was one called For Tom? I think it was for Tom.

Sam [00:06:26]:

It was for Tom. Yes.

Chris [00:06:27]:

Yeah. Tom with an h there. Yeah. And, it it was very serious, very Dramatic

Sam [00:06:35]:

Yeah.

Chris [00:06:35]:

Thing, but fortunately, there was only me and Sam in the theater, so we were taking this out with the whole Which we could not do if it was at a real theater with other people there. Because it’s a serious topic. That was the funniest part of the day for me.

Sam [00:06:54]:

Anyway Hey. This week, I got an ad, and I haven’t seen this before. But because I clicked on it, I now get ads from about 4 other companies doing this, and it’s a thing I’ve never seen before. And it’s a, signature company Where you send your signature that you do now to this company. Yeah. And the one I’ve been looking at, it was $49 for a basic one. $79 is top tier to their best calligrapher. Right? They reimagine your signature, come back to you and go, do you like that? Yes.

Sam [00:07:27]:

Okay. Here’s a video on how you do it, and here’s a template that you can follow to come up with a new signature.

Chris [00:07:34]:

See, I’m pretty sure a year ago, they had somebody, like, roughly, you know, give or take.

Sam [00:07:40]:

Give or take 1 10 years, maybe.

Chris [00:07:42]:

1 10 years. They had somebody on I think it was the project or something like that who did that.

Sam [00:07:47]:

Okay.

Chris [00:07:48]:

And they just said, oh, because I like writing, I’ve been doing these signatures, and people have been And they started selling it, and I think because it hit the mainstream, it’s like, oh, I can do that.

Sam [00:07:58]:

So this 1st ad I saw seemed really good, and it’s got Three pricing tiers, and they said you give a video and all this stuff. And then all these other ads I’m getting are for the same idea, but I don’t think they’re at the same quality. They’re like, we’ll send you back your Your new signature. But don’t they show you how to do it? I don’t know. It’s an interesting thing, because if you’re right into it, I don’t know what your turnaround time would be. What? Half an hour? You’re just like, You see some scribble and you’re like, okay. Cool. Hang on.

Sam [00:08:21]:

Yeah. Yeah. And they keep going backwards and forwards until you get one that you’d like. And they’re like, once you’ve got it, I think they said, like, 30 minutes to 40 minutes, you should roughly be able to do it. Yeah. Yeah. And they’re completely different. Like, it’s so amazing what they do.

Chris [00:08:38]:

But Yeah. Yeah. It’d be interesting to try it.

Sam [00:08:41]:

But the massive signatures

Chris [00:08:43]:

a proper podcast with a proper budget, we’d buy it.

Sam [00:08:45]:

What’s a budget?

Chris [00:08:47]:

A budget. Yeah. If we had something like that, we’d buy 1 each, And then we’d try it, and we’d give you a some feedback on that.

Sam [00:08:53]:

That’s right.

Chris [00:08:54]:

Have a budget.

Sam [00:08:55]:

So If not, just, just search on something, signature companies, if you’re into it.

Chris [00:08:59]:

I want to talk a bit about the treasure trove. And if you click on that and you can look at that image that I’ve attached there, so This is I I went to a, seminar last week, like a virtual online

Sam [00:09:13]:

thing.

Chris [00:09:13]:

Yeah. Yeah. There was about a100, a115, Dean, I think people turned up for it. It was really good. 3 days long. Melted my brain. There was so much stuff. It was actually really, really good.

Chris [00:09:24]:

And we did a few there was a lot of tasks every day. And at the end of day, it was just 2 thing main things for day 1. It was creating a summit, which is actually something I’d already started to do, and I’m doing that in next month in January rather, End of January. And then, the next thing they did was this giveaway idea, and they talked about how you can, you know, create something and give it away. And then they said, Hey. Somebody just had this brainstorm at the time. Why don’t we just all of us do 1? A mega A mega giveaway thing.

Sam [00:10:01]:

Oh, okay. So it wasn’t planned beforehand until they okay. Okay.

Chris [00:10:05]:

Got it. Wasn’t planned. They’d sort of done bits and pieces in groups because we everything was done in Breakout groups? Yeah. Yeah. Well, how about you know, there’s a 100 of us here, give or take. How about that? So, basically, I’m gonna it’s called the treasure trove. Ninety 2 of the Internet’s best entrepreneurs hey. That includes me.

Chris [00:10:22]:

That include

Sam [00:10:22]:

includes you, apparently. Yeah. Yeah. Good.

Chris [00:10:24]:

Open their treasure trove of resources Create 1 bundle of goodies worth a $154,000

Sam [00:10:32]:

Of course it is.

Chris [00:10:32]:

For just 47. Yeah. So yeah. Hang on. Let’s go. Did they get the value?

Sam [00:10:38]:

Oh, no. No. I let’s make it up.

Chris [00:10:40]:

Yeah. Yeah. No. But they did. Everybody put the value in there. So mine’s 997 thing. Yep. It’s a 6 week course Mhmm.

Chris [00:10:50]:

Plus 2 live sessions at the end Yeah. To help with the coaching. And and mine’s obviously on speaking and what have you. It’s called Pitchmaster Fundamentals, and I’m losing sleep working on that because I’ve gotta get this is all launching for Black Friday. Yep. So it’s all gotta be Yep. Done and dusted by the 22nd.

Sam [00:11:10]:

Out of those 92 best entrepreneurs on the Internet, how much what’s the percentage of top class? Obviously, yours is on the top. What do you reckon? Out of 92?

Chris [00:11:21]:

Honestly, it was a pretty high caliber group.

Sam [00:11:23]:

Okay. So you reckon, like, 50

Chris [00:11:24]:

And it’s quite diverse too. Now Okay. There was a quite a few of the group

Sam [00:11:30]:

Here we go.

Chris [00:11:30]:

In the Wooniverse.

Sam [00:11:32]:

The what?

Chris [00:11:33]:

The woo woo universe.

Sam [00:11:35]:

Oh, okay. So I so I’ll get a course on how to reach my inner chi or touch my

Chris [00:11:40]:

Oh, or maybe speak to your better angels.

Sam [00:11:43]:

Or Oh. Yeah. You got me excited now, Chris. Was it $47? Where do I have to go?

Chris [00:11:49]:

It, it’s not live yet, so I’m not sure. I

Sam [00:11:52]:

more life more profit.com. Morelifemoreprofit.com. That doesn’t sound scammy at all. Get in there.

Chris [00:11:57]:

But, yeah, I think well, honestly, it’ll be worth it, the 47, just for my stuff. Absolutely. Like, because I’m Do you

Sam [00:12:04]:

get access to everybody else’s stuff? No.

Chris [00:12:07]:

I’m working on whether I do or not.

Sam [00:12:09]:

Okay. Good.

Chris [00:12:10]:

I don’t think I do. I I think I’ll end up buying the 47

Sam [00:12:13]:

to get

Chris [00:12:14]:

it, but I think it’s worth it.

Sam [00:12:15]:

It’d be interesting to see As well, because you’ll get a lot of ideas about what people have done and not Yeah.

Chris [00:12:19]:

And and the whole idea of this was for us to do joint ventures and work together on strategic alliances. So, I’ve already got I’m working with some people all over the place. There’s this really cool chick in, Germany Yep. Mona, and she is, like, the spreadsheet whisperer. Alright. And she does, like, automations and all that sort of stuff. Yeah. That’s really cool, which is, like, as Sam knows, the entirely opposite of me.

Chris [00:12:48]:

And then And then, there’s Christine in Alaska. She’s really cool, so I’ll be working with I I wanna get a group of us together. Mhmm. And, CF And, CF is I don’t know why she calls herself CF. Anyway, she does videography type stuff and has a TV station TV type thing

Sam [00:13:11]:

Okay.

Chris [00:13:11]:

In the US, and there’s 1 other person. I’ve forgotten who it is right now.

Sam [00:13:16]:

Very interesting.

Chris [00:13:17]:

So it’s cool. Anyway so treasure trove, We will be spamming your Facebook credit later in the month. I had to look up when, Thanksgiving is because I don’t I didn’t Is it the 27th?

Sam [00:13:29]:

25th? It’s

Chris [00:13:30]:

the 23rd this year. It’s the 4th Thursday of every of of November.

Sam [00:13:34]:

Okay. Alright. This

Chris [00:13:35]:

year is 23rd, which is My birthday.

Sam [00:13:37]:

I will forget about that, but good to know.

Chris [00:13:40]:

Yeah. Yeah. I’d never bothered learning it, and I’m old, so there you go. You don’t

Sam [00:13:44]:

need to

Chris [00:13:44]:

know those things. I want to talk about this guy, the candid camera. I think this is hilarious. If you go in there, have a look at the images, which is the funny part. So this guy

Sam [00:13:54]:

podcast. We’re gonna paint a picture.

Chris [00:13:56]:

I I’m gonna paint a picture because, I don’t think the audience wants to watch look at these particular photos, But a Texas man, stole a game camera.

Sam [00:14:06]:

Yeah. Okay.

Chris [00:14:07]:

You know? Yeah. And then he took it home, and he’s like, Put it on the on the on the bedroom dresser, not realizing it’s still taking photos. Yeah. It’s got photos of him with his shirt off, and he’s just covered in tats with his missus there. I don’t know what other photos they may or may not have got, But, this is sending photos to the police station because that’s what the game camera is for, to see if there’s any dangerous animals around or something.

Sam [00:14:37]:

So

Chris [00:14:38]:

the police go, oh, somebody stole the game camera. And then they’re like, that guy stole the game camera because it’s in his big True. And they’re like

Sam [00:14:49]:

Dumbass.

Chris [00:14:49]:

And they just published photos of him and said, does anybody know this So

Sam [00:14:55]:

who’s this dude? And and he’s got a heap of tattoos as well, Ali.

Chris [00:14:59]:

Yeah. He’s not easy to miss. I thought that was hilarious. Actually, I’ve got another tattoo on here I just thought I’d mention. I wasn’t actually going to bring it up Right now, but it down if you go scroll quite a bit down

Sam [00:15:15]:

Don’t mean don’t mention the scrolling. Quentin doesn’t like it.

Chris [00:15:18]:

Screw that. That’s right. Just the photo. And the only reason I’m adding this is because of the photo. So this guy Who’s been stealing cars

Sam [00:15:29]:

Okay.

Chris [00:15:30]:

Crashed the car, and he’s got this tattoo, all gas, no brakes. Yeah. Hey, Chris. This is his, this is his mugshot.

Sam [00:15:40]:

Oh, he’s a scary man.

Chris [00:15:42]:

And he’s obviously been in a car crash.

Sam [00:15:45]:

Yeah.

Chris [00:15:45]:

And you see the neck? Is that all gas?

Sam [00:15:47]:

Yep. Yep.

Chris [00:15:48]:

No breaks.

Sam [00:15:51]:

I mean, he’s got a he’s what does he got a motto? Live by Fire whatever on to fast and furious.

Chris [00:15:57]:

The motto to live and die by.

Sam [00:15:59]:

Maybe.

Chris [00:16:00]:

Yeah. Actually, I’ve got to ask Adam Harvey question on here. And I so this is a story, and, of course, when I read it, I was like, I want Adam’s take on it. So this guy goes in for surgery to have his appendix removed. Yeah. Okay. Had your

Sam [00:16:18]:

Yeah. From him?

Chris [00:16:18]:

Yeah. So the surgeons Pulled out the wrong thing.

Sam [00:16:23]:

Oh, okay.

Chris [00:16:25]:

Yeah. Not not good. Not good. They, they removed part of his colon. Yes. Leaving with a litany litany of problems. Like, he left the hospital feeling worse than when

Sam [00:16:38]:

he turned up.

Chris [00:16:40]:

When I woke up, I came out of the drugs. I was in serious pain, much worse than I had been in when I went to hospital. He was seeking suffering from a leaking Colon that created sepsis and infection almost died from it.

Sam [00:16:54]:

It does say though that the physician was supposed to be supervising the surgeon in training.

Chris [00:17:01]:

Yeah. Exactly.

Sam [00:17:02]:

So I’m guessing he wasn’t.

Chris [00:17:03]:

Well, not supervising Enough. And the the guy says that he he they seem to make light of it Oh. Which

Sam [00:17:11]:

That’s not good.

Chris [00:17:12]:

That doesn’t sound good, but then I don’t know how real that is. Like, I I don’t That’s his perception. That’s his perception is what I’m saying. But, yeah, I wanted to ask Adam because Adam’s done surgery stuff before, poked around inside other people’s bodies, I think, is the technical tip. And How how, like, how how often does that happen? I wanna know. I how often like, is that something that, Oh my god. That’s amazing that that happened, that it should never happen, or, yeah, you’d be surprised how often Something close to that happens or I don’t know. I don’t know.

Chris [00:17:47]:

I so, Adam, we need to know. Let us know, and we will pass it on to everybody else.

Sam [00:17:52]:

Okay. Alright.

Chris [00:17:54]:

You got anything?

Sam [00:17:55]:

No.

Chris [00:17:55]:

Cool. I got more.

Sam [00:17:57]:

I’m a bit, bit, light this week in stuff that’s been happening.

Chris [00:18:03]:

Now let’s go. I got 3 croc stories. Three croc stories. So the first one Hey. Why is there 3?

Sam [00:18:10]:

This is just a one for them.

Chris [00:18:11]:

To be fair, the first one’s maybe not so much croc, but I’ve

Sam [00:18:15]:

Okay. Put it

Chris [00:18:16]:

in in the category. So This animal rescue place in, yeah, Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Yep. They got nearly 250 rodents, like hamsters and

Sam [00:18:33]:

Oh, okay.

Chris [00:18:34]:

Gerbils and, I guess rats and ferrets and what have you Yeah. That were intended for adopted adoption. They were given 250. I don’t know where from. It doesn’t really

Sam [00:18:45]:

say crazy hoarder person.

Chris [00:18:47]:

Whatever. Yep. And they sold it to a place who feed them to It does.

Sam [00:18:53]:

Yeah. Well, it’s heard

Chris [00:18:54]:

of it.

Sam [00:18:55]:

You know?

Chris [00:18:57]:

You you can’t best life. Okay. That was it.

Sam [00:19:01]:

You can’t think about too much. You either want them off your hands or not, and if this person’s picked them up and paid for them, that’s their property. Off you go.

Chris [00:19:09]:

Yeah. Yeah. So, but It seems like the CEO of that organization was fully aware of who bought the whole lot, because they bought the whole lot.

Sam [00:19:18]:

Oh, okay. Yeah. I suppose that’s not normal. I’ll just just load them all up.

Chris [00:19:22]:

Done the

Sam [00:19:22]:

whole lot.

Chris [00:19:23]:

They bought 200 and 323, And 60 were returned. I’m gonna try

Sam [00:19:32]:

and figure out

Chris [00:19:32]:

Why did you return 60?

Sam [00:19:34]:

They’re too big for the reptile. Don’t don’t say that. Don’t say that. They

Chris [00:19:40]:

They were too quick. The reptiles were no no longer hungry.

Sam [00:19:43]:

They didn’t fit into my habitat that I’ve built Out the back. I don’t know if it’s real weird.

Chris [00:19:49]:

But yes. So, yeah, it looks like CEO of, They they’re going to fire oh, no. It they did fire Steve Farley, the CEO of Humane Society of Southern Arizona. So it was the first of the crocodile stories. Okay. The second one was this guy, Aussie, of course. It has to be an Australian

Sam [00:20:10]:

to be. Good.

Chris [00:20:11]:

Crocodiles. There’s definitely crocodiles because those reptiles might have been alligators or whatever. Cattle farmer in Australia’s northern territory Says he managed to survive a crocodile attack by biting the beast back.

Sam [00:20:26]:

What did he put Part 2 debugs.

Chris [00:20:27]:

Exactly my question. I’m like, what are you gonna buy? Do

Sam [00:20:31]:

you just buy anything?

Chris [00:20:32]:

No. And it’s very clever, I thought, actually, when I finally read it, because I’m like, Alice is just So did

Sam [00:20:38]:

did had it bit him?

Chris [00:20:39]:

Yeah. I’m gonna read it.

Sam [00:20:40]:

Okay. Okay.

Chris [00:20:40]:

So he’s on his way back to working on a fence project, so he’s, like, walking to the fence, Stepped into a shallow pool of water.

Sam [00:20:47]:

That’s not good.

Chris [00:20:48]:

Took 2 steps, and the I I can swear because that’s what it says. This is a quote. I took 2 steps, and the dirty bastard latched onto my right foot.

Sam [00:20:57]:

Okay.

Chris [00:20:58]:

It was a big grab, and he shook me like a ragdoll and took me back off into the water, pulling me in. Yep. Oh, and this guy is in his mid sixties.

Sam [00:21:05]:

Oh, I thought I thought you were gonna say nineties for some reason, but yeah. Okay.

Chris [00:21:09]:

Yeah. Mid sixties. He said the 1st attempt to kick away the 10 and a half foot saltwater croc with his left foot, but that didn’t work. Oh, okay. Okay. Well, I wouldn’t. Yep. So, he when that didn’t work, He resorted to biting the creature on its eyelid.

Sam [00:21:29]:

Yeah.

Chris [00:21:30]:

Because they have those translucent eye Yeah. Protect,

Sam [00:21:34]:

your house I think if I think I’m sure you can poke them in the eye. They don’t like that.

Chris [00:21:38]:

Yeah. So he basically tried to bite it and bit its eyelid. It was not an enjoyable experience, but it was effective, Deveraux said. It was pretty thick like holding on to leather, but it jerked back on his eyelid, and he let go pretty quick. After escaping from the croc’s clutches, Deveraux ran towards his car. The alligator followed for a short distance, but it finally

Sam [00:22:00]:

Gave up.

Chris [00:22:00]:

Gave up. He got a towel on a rope from a vehicle, did a tourniquet on his leg, and then his brother rushed him to hospital. And he’s been recovering for Several weeks, so it

Sam [00:22:10]:

was up

Chris [00:22:11]:

pretty because, yeah, I mean, they do that roll thing?

Sam [00:22:14]:

Yeah. That death roll thing. Yeah. Yeah. Plus, also, I’m assuming there’s a bit of infection potentially?

Chris [00:22:19]:

He had to get his wound flushed for 10 straight days in order to remove any bacteria and teeth marks because, yeah, that’s what Komodo dragons do. They bite them once and just let you go.

Sam [00:22:29]:

But

Chris [00:22:30]:

And then you’ve just died. Yes. And they follow you.

Sam [00:22:33]:

But that happens with everything. Sarah’s auntie got bit her cat bit her, like, a year ago, year and a half ago. Multiple hospital trips nonstop, eventually eventually amputated her leg.

Chris [00:22:46]:

Holy. House cat. Crap.

Sam [00:22:47]:

Who who

Chris [00:22:47]:

a cat? That’s a better story than that.

Sam [00:22:50]:

Oh, no. It just it just shows you, like, the amount of bacteria and junk that’s on

Chris [00:22:55]:

Teeth.

Sam [00:22:56]:

And that dude that stole your car, remember, who got bit by the police dog.

Chris [00:23:01]:

Yeah. But he deserved it. That’s right.

Sam [00:23:05]:

That’s right.

Chris [00:23:06]:

That’s right.

Sam [00:23:06]:

Taking that mighty Honda.

Chris [00:23:09]:

Okay. So, And then I’ve got the 3rd 3rd story, which is just random as hell. Okay. Australia, again, crocodiles. Mating season for crocodiles in Queensland, Australia has arrived earlier than normal this year. The owner of a crocodile farm in the state is blaming the early start on helicopter to activity. What?

Sam [00:23:31]:

So how does that work?

Chris [00:23:32]:

Chinook helicopters flown by the armed forces. So

Sam [00:23:35]:

it’s Okay. So it’s They’ve got

Chris [00:23:36]:

an army base now.

Sam [00:23:37]:

And it’s the big helicopters.

Chris [00:23:39]:

Yeah. Sent male crocs at John Lever’s Kurana Crocodile Farm into a mating frenzy. Okay. And I’m I’m gonna scroll down because it’s

Sam [00:23:50]:

Is it the vibration?

Chris [00:23:51]:

Oh, hang on. Where is it? Oh, read more. Gotta click that. Yeah. Because they’re trying to work it out, and there’s 2 Theories. One is that it reminds them of thunder, and, apparently, for a lot of animals, that gets them all going.

Sam [00:24:06]:

Okay. Good good to know.

Chris [00:24:08]:

I I didn’t yeah. Yeah. Whatever. And the other one is that they’re mating. Actually, Actually, they do a lot of water slapping in there.

Sam [00:24:15]:

Oh, yeah.

Chris [00:24:16]:

The thudding Yeah. On the, you know, of the

Sam [00:24:19]:

Oh, yeah.

Chris [00:24:19]:

On the water pressure or whatever.

Sam [00:24:20]:

You know?

Chris [00:24:21]:

It’s Oh, okay. So but I’ll read this out because it sounds hilarious. Libba, the owner of the Kurana Crocodile Farm, has his own ideas. He recently revealed that the bulls on his farm of around 3,000, so he’s got 3,000 crocs.

Sam [00:24:35]:

That’s good. Right?

Chris [00:24:36]:

Is

Sam [00:24:36]:

he okay. I don’t even know what he’s doing with that many.

Chris [00:24:39]:

Hey. This is a zombie holocaust survival plan. He lives in the middle. Maybe. Went nuts when a helicopter flew over it low over his farm. So this helicopter goes low over his farm. All the big males got up and roared and billowed up at the sky. And then after helicopters left, they mated like mad.

Chris [00:25:01]:

There’s something about the sonic waves that really gets them stirred up, and and it’s I don’t know. It does say this guy says, Whoever wrote the story is like, I’m no expert, but a crocodile mating frenzy with 3,000 of them doesn’t sound like something you wanna find yourself in the middle of. No. I don’t know. They

Sam [00:25:20]:

well, they could be distracted.

Chris [00:25:22]:

Well, yeah. But still I don’t

Sam [00:25:25]:

know. Hard to say. Hard to say.

Chris [00:25:27]:

And that’s Croc Watch, our new episode of

Sam [00:25:31]:

It’s our new section of the podcast, Croc Watch. Good. I look forward to updating that in 7 years’ time.

Chris [00:25:37]:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don’t know when we will do that again. I’ll I’ll stick with an Aussie one here, actually. And you gotta tell me the time because I could keep going

Sam [00:25:46]:

forward. About 4 minutes.

Chris [00:25:47]:

Alright. This, this is a sure one. I just think it’s hilarious because I’m gonna ask you some questions. I’m gonna tell you some of the hockey play. So this Sydney police officer, no longer trusts this place, and he’s left the place because he doesn’t trust them

Sam [00:26:04]:

Okay.

Chris [00:26:04]:

Because another policeman Pulled a gun on him. Put a gun to his head.

Sam [00:26:08]:

Oh, basically. That’s that’s serious. Why? Oh, he he thought he was doing something completely justified and dumb. I don’t know why. Oh, hang on. No. He ate the other guy’s lunch. That’s what I’m gonna say.

Sam [00:26:21]:

And the other guy got upset. Oh, was he sleeping with the other guy’s missus and he found out? K. Go.

Chris [00:26:28]:

The 30 year old was on duty behind the front desk of the Day street police station in Chinatown when a probationary constable, Royston, began discussing Top Gun Maverick, which he’d seen the

Sam [00:26:37]:

night before. Don’t discuss I’ll spoil

Chris [00:26:40]:

it for you. And according to the documents, he said, don’t spoil the movie expletive

Sam [00:26:46]:

Yeah.

Chris [00:26:46]:

An expletive I can’t say here, and then put the gun in straight and just shoot him.

Sam [00:26:51]:

Oh my god. He’s dead.

Chris [00:26:53]:

It’s a real top gun. It’s

Sam [00:26:55]:

a real movie. That’s a real movie buff there. I I hope we don’t have anyone come after us when we talk about stuff.

Chris [00:27:06]:

So Royston’s since left the new South Wales.

Sam [00:27:09]:

Far out. That’s not good. But that’s the thing that set that guy off. Imagine anything else. Yes. Okay.

Chris [00:27:15]:

Oh, who who gives these people counts?

Sam [00:27:18]:

I don’t know.

Chris [00:27:21]:

I I sort of feel like the wrong cop left. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Sam [00:27:26]:

Yeah. Something’s not right with that story. I should get rid of the other guy.

Chris [00:27:30]:

I think so. So what’s coming up this week?

Sam [00:27:33]:

This week, it’s I don’t know what day it is. Yeah. So next weekend so this will come out Sunday. Next weekend is Misty Flix. Come along. Yeah. That’s right. Say hi.

Sam [00:27:45]:

I’ve got work, I think.

Chris [00:27:47]:

I am snowed under. I’ve gotta get my treasure trove Of course, Fit

Sam [00:27:52]:

Stop. Out of those 92 people or whatever it was, did everybody else already have something already done, you think, or is there a whole bunch of you, like, rushing?

Chris [00:28:00]:

No. I’m the only one stupid enough to do what I’m doing.

Sam [00:28:04]:

Okay.

Chris [00:28:04]:

It most other people had something already. Yes. And if they didn’t have something already, They offered a live workshop, which you don’t have

Sam [00:28:13]:

to re pre do.

Chris [00:28:15]:

But I said, oh, I’ve got this course that I haven’t really marketed. I did a beta with with these guys, so I’ll just use that.

Sam [00:28:24]:

Okay.

Chris [00:28:24]:

And I put that up. And then I went and looked at them and went, I’m not putting my name to that. That was my 1st attempt. It looks like crap. So can I redo it?

Sam [00:28:33]:

I’m glad you realized that now.

Chris [00:28:34]:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, the content’s good, but the video actually some of the video was shot at 480 instead of 10, 7 20

Sam [00:28:44]:

Yeah. Yeah.

Chris [00:28:44]:

Yeah. Which is really bad.

Sam [00:28:45]:

So potato quality?

Chris [00:28:47]:

Yeah. Potato quality. Fine. And, yeah, and yeah. It just doesn’t it doesn’t quite Work right. So, anyway so so I’m redoing it. So, yeah, I’m the only one well, possibly the only one that’s that dumb.

Sam [00:28:59]:

So you’ve got, like, a week? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Chris [00:29:01]:

Is that right? And I’ve got another seminar this weekend.

Sam [00:29:04]:

Oh, another one. Too. Yeah. Oh, what’s this one on?

Chris [00:29:07]:

So it’s From that, somebody from that, and I got a free ticket

Sam [00:29:11]:

to it. Seminars are gonna go on forever now Yeah. Because everybody’s gonna run 1.

Chris [00:29:15]:

It does sound like that, But this one’s, it’s on speaking and virtual speaking and stuff, so it’s it’s my thing. It’s what I wanna know about. So so yeah. So I’m I it’s actually Saturday, Sunday, Monday, but I I got way too much work on Monday, so I won’t be doing Monday. But I’ll get the 2 days out of it.

Sam [00:29:33]:

Oh, yeah.

Chris [00:29:33]:

I got it for free, so I can’t
