Sam [00:01:58]:
It’s really weird because I it’s like I forget that I was the person that started it because New Zealand Post is doing it now, and they’re doing such an amazing job. Yeah. And I get copied in in all sorts of random tweets like people are I think some new people still think I’m doing it or I’m involved. I’m not. Yeah. But it it’s very awesome. It’s yeah. It’s very crazy.

Chris [00:02:19]:
It’s still your baby, man. It is. It is. But I’m

Sam [00:02:22]:
I’ve got that thing where I just wanna do something Similar at large scale. I don’t know. I don’t know. It just Oh. We’ll see. Got no ideas at all. Nothing at all.

Chris [00:02:32]:
Yeah. Something will something will come up.

Sam [00:02:35]:

Sam [00:03:09]:
rep. That is pretty cool. It’s PowerShell rep.

Chris [00:03:11]:
I’m not power PowerShell. I’ll let

Sam [00:03:13]:
them know they’ve already They’re already winning. Why?

Chris [00:03:15]:
They’re already winning. I I don’t think they would know that from anything.

Sam [00:03:19]:
I can tell you’re not why are you being so careful opening it?

Chris [00:03:23]:
I don’t rip paper.

Sam [00:03:24]:
Do you save the paper?

Chris [00:03:26]:
Well, this was paper I might save.

Sam [00:03:28]:
It’s Oh, okay. Just just wondering because you’re you’re being a bit delicate there. Here we go.

Chris [00:03:34]:
Oh, yeah. Donovan’s

Sam [00:03:36]:
What is it? Double chocolate fudge. Excellent.

Chris [00:03:39]:
And I tell you, I love fudge. I like the the fudge you know, the fudge you get at the Yeah. The straight fudge Yeah.

Sam [00:03:46]:
I guess it is.

Chris [00:03:46]:
Markets and stuff like that. But, yeah, double chocolate fudge, that will do me fine. And thank you to my secret Santa.

Sam [00:03:54]:
That’s cool. I’m gonna open the Christmas sand podcast, secret Santa gift here. Morning. After that, I’m gonna talk about some of the really, really bad gifts that some people have gotten on Twitter this year. And I know about, because I have contacts, I’ve actually heard about what all the worst ones were. So we will see what’s going on here. Wrapping paper with musical looking. Musical notes all over it.

Chris [00:04:27]:
Yeah. Expensive looking. And it’s a very long skinny oblong sort of box.

Sam [00:04:32]:
Oh, this is interesting. This is interesting.

Chris [00:04:35]:
What is that?

Sam [00:04:36]:
It’s what Chris loves.

Chris [00:04:38]:
It’s a selfie stick. Oh my gosh. Wait. Wait. It’s a Bluetooth one.

Sam [00:04:42]:
No. I think it’s a normal one. It’s a normal one.

Chris [00:04:45]:
Woo hoo.

Sam [00:04:46]:
Which x. I’ve got a talking about selfie sticks, I wasn’t actually gonna mention this, but, on Reddit the other day, this guy mentioned he it was, like, 2 days ago, and he said, I’ve got I got a GoPro. Is this good enough? And he’s I think he’s got a he’s sitting on a little He’s, like, in a basement. He’s got a selfie stick with the GoPro, and he’s on a, like, a little rocking horse or something. And he’s rocking the crap out of himself on this thing. And he’s got no shirt on, and I can’t remember if he had a helmet on or something. And he said, something along the lines of, Channel. Something along the lines of once we prove that you’re the best at rocking out on a rocking horse wearing just pants and in your parents’ basement, and Then we’ll sponsor you.

Chris [00:05:45]:
That’s awesome. That is good PR. That’s good PR.

Sam [00:05:48]:
Very, very cool. Thank you heaps. And Sam

Chris [00:05:52]:
the Chris and Sam podcast will use the selfie stick. I can guarantee you that.

Sam [00:05:57]:
Once I can’t even open it, but the Chris and Sam podcast Gonna use it in a second and take a photo of us recording this. Are we really?

Chris [00:06:05]:
Have have you got your phone?

Sam [00:06:06]:
My phone’s right. Here.

Chris [00:06:07]:
Oh, cool.

Sam [00:06:07]:
My phone’s ready party.

Chris [00:06:08]:
My phone’s upstairs plugged into the charger.

Sam [00:06:11]:
Yeah. I I know. Until you half an hour to open your front door. Shocking. So, basically, the worst, the worst Secret Santa gift On Twitter in New Zealand, and this is just my personal opinion. Someone that I actually know, just on Twitter, and she’s very, very cool. She she received it or she gave it? She received it. Oh, yeah.

Sam [00:06:36]:
Yeah. She’s very, very cool. And, I vaguely heard about the story, and then I only found out yesterday who it She was, and I felt really stunk, actually, to be honest. She got a half used tube of foot scrub that was over a year expired. I I said like, yesterday, I said I’ve got 10 more better things just laying around home that I could send you. Yeah. Totally. You know, even, You know, unused stuff.

Sam [00:07:09]:
So it was bizarre, and, we sort of were having a talk about it because this, girl on Twitter last night was firing up, Like, went, you know, a bit psycho about everything. She what she got was, what I saw was she said, why the f do I want this? This is the stupidest effing thing in the world, rah rah rah, and was just going blip so. And it was a tube of sunscreen, brand new, like, sunscreen. And sunscreen is expensive. Just gonna throw that out there. If you buy lots of sunscreen, especially for kids, Cost megabytes. And, it had a note, and the note went something along the lines of, hey. I see that you’re Irish.

Sam [00:07:51]:
Every Irish person I know is very fair skinned. Hope this helps. And then it said, PS, my My wife’s name is also Sally, same as yours, but her real name’s Sarah. And I think it was a have a Merry Christmas, I think. And it’s yeah. And she was she was going a bit nuts. So and she goes, why do I care about your wife? What a stupid f a note. Rararara.

Sam [00:08:13]:
And then she said, oh, I can’t even use a sunscreen because I’ve got, reactions and, skin something or other. Yeah. So it was semi thoughtful. It was brand new. The person wasn’t to know that you’ve got a reaction to some ingredient in sunscreen, and and they went to the effort, you know. So publicly, just say thank you. You know, all you have to do is say, hey. Thanks for sending me a gift.

Sam [00:08:40]:
Thank you for sending a random stranger that you don’t know some sort of gift. So it was, you know so we I was talking about it with a whole bunch of people, and then she saw it with that sort of craziness. And then, she jumped into the conversation and said, I know you’re talking about me. But she was really good about it. Yeah. And I and I said, look. It’s not the end of the world. I said, at least you got a gift.

Sam [00:09:11]:
And it wasn’t it wasn’t a half used tube or something. It was It was semi thoughtful. And, she because one of her tweets said, why would I want this? I’m an effing Kiwi. And then someone said, well, in your profile, it says you’re Irish. And she says, oh, I’ve been in New Zealand 7 years and I count myself as a Kiwi. And I thought if you count yourself as a Kiwi and you can’t handle that, you’re not really

Chris [00:09:35]:
a Kiwi in my mind. Yeah. Well,

Sam [00:09:38]:
yeah. Zealand Post said that, they sort of jumped in on a part of that conversation. And they said there was 4 dubious gifts that they were investigating. So I’ve got the list here. Of the expired and pre used foot scrub was on that, list of 4. There was no card and no wrapping paper. It was just, like, thrown into a bag.

Chris [00:10:01]:
I feel really bad actually because the one I sent

Sam [00:10:05]:
You were rushing, though.

Chris [00:10:06]:
I yeah. I it’s just in the courier bag. There is no wrapping paper.

Sam [00:10:10]:
Yeah.

Chris [00:10:10]:
I I meant to, and it just yeah. And it yeah. And I ended up going, I’m in town. I’ve bought it. I better just put it in a a thing and go.

Sam [00:10:20]:
Yeah.

Chris [00:10:20]:
And so I feel really bad about that.

Sam [00:10:23]:
No. That’s don’t worry about it. So this is What do you think about these? Let me know your honest opinion. Expired prepackaged barbecue duck wings And expired unlabeled lollies. Merry Christmas.

Chris [00:10:38]:
Oh my god. That’s that’s appalling.

Sam [00:10:40]:
Got a back

Chris [00:10:41]:
Can I just check the expiry date on this?

Sam [00:10:43]:
No. You’re fine.

Chris [00:10:44]:
No. I’m good. Fine.

Sam [00:10:45]:
That that’s their new boxes. That’s how I know.

Chris [00:10:47]:
Oh, okay.

Sam [00:10:48]:
Got a bat, old, Smells and looks old. No card. No wrapping paper. I assume it’s a soft toy, maybe. A a bat. That’s what it says. A bat. I don’t know.

Sam [00:11:00]:
Or may I don’t who knows? But, anyway and, broken slash used teapot and old earrings. So I can understand if you don’t have any money. That’s fine. Like, I I completely understand that point of view. You could put together maybe a printed photo collage of their Tweeted pictures or just do a handwritten card and just say, look. Just explain it to the person, or I’m sure someone, somewhere may be able to help you out or even New Zealand Secret Santa would be able to help you out. They’ve got, big people on board, I think Mojo Coffee and a few other people. And they did say that they’ve got some really big people helping them out with some really cool gifts, And I haven’t seen them surface yet, but they did say the big corporates did send their gifts late.

Sam [00:11:55]:
So I’m still expecting all these things to pop up with, Phones and other crazy gifts. And and a good generic gift Is basically what Chris just got. Yeah. It’s it’s it’s something that you can give someone that you don’t know, and if you push for time or money, it’s good. My sister actually sent 2 boxes of Cadbury roses, and she felt really bad because she 3 kids running around doing all sorts stuff. She didn’t have enough time to fully research this person. And I said to her, look, that’s okay. It’s it’s way better than sending a half used tube of cream.

Sam [00:12:33]:
Yeah.

Chris [00:12:33]:
Yeah. Totally. And So news could see remember the one I saw. I saw 1 because I was looking at the hashtag. Hash n zed secret santa, by the way, if you’re looking for it. And and I was looking for, I was looking down the hashtags, just looking at stuff. I was I was looking to see if person who got my present, I guess, as well. But there was a couple of really good stories.

Chris [00:12:54]:
And there’s 1 guy had left a really cool note, And I can’t even remember the GIF now. It wasn’t like flash flash, but the note made it so cool. And this the The girl was like, I wanna know who my secret Santa is, and I wanna follow him.

Sam [00:13:09]:
Wow. Yeah.

Chris [00:13:09]:
Yeah. Because it was just cool. It was really thoughtful, and it it was a great note. Yeah.

Sam [00:13:16]:
It’s, yeah. There’s some very cool ones. Did you see the one that went a little bit viral? No. I’m not a 100% Sure what the backstory was, but this person did a blog post about their death and they died. And, their secret center Put this I’m not a 100% sure what it is. It’s a wooden ornament thing. And on it, I think it’s head. I wish I had better details, but it’s been a long day, folks.

Sam [00:13:44]:
It was, like, soldered together, the metal thing, and it said sweet Kiwi, I think it was, or sweet child or something. And it’s related to this person’s blog about their dad dying, and, they were just, like, So so blown away.

Chris [00:13:58]:
Away. Yeah.

Sam [00:13:59]:
And I think

Chris [00:13:59]:
New Zealand

Sam [00:14:00]:
I think New Zealand Post had to confirm that was the actual gift Because it was so amazing to this person, they had to make sure it was the actual one from Secret Santa, not somewhere else or something. Yeah. And some people, Fid, who is on hashtag radio, hashtag me, he’s a friend of ours. Hey. You know that he got nail polish last year. No. I don’t. Someone sent him nail polish for some reason last year.

Sam [00:14:28]:
And, anyway, he carried on this year, and he had a face mask. And He had bought me, like, 3 more nail polishes, and he put it all together. And then the next day, the 2nd part of the gift turned up, and it was like a Lego set.

Chris [00:14:39]:
Cool. So that was pretty cool. You’re gonna be able to have fun with it, I reckon.

Sam [00:14:44]:
You do.

Chris [00:14:46]:
Okay. So Just so for those of you at home listening at home, Sam is putting his cat his phone into the selfie stick and trying

Sam [00:14:53]:
to look at it. Doing?

Chris [00:14:55]:
No. You you do that and you switch the camera around so it’s your front facing camera.

Sam [00:14:58]:
It has to be the front facing that does the photo.

Chris [00:15:00]:
Yeah. Well, it makes it easier because then you can see what you’re looking at.

Sam [00:15:04]:
It’s pressing oh, yeah. Okay. It’s pressing the volume button. It’s pressing the volume button, so it’s not good. And I’ve moved away from the mic, so you couldn’t hear me properly.

Chris [00:15:13]:
Yeah. He he’s a little bit, yeah. This is all new to me. Fiddly on this one.

Sam [00:15:18]:
Well, now

Chris [00:15:18]:
So I well well, he’s playing with that. I’ll just Day. I’ve had a selfie stick before they were called selfie sticks.

Sam [00:15:24]:
Well, we’re not all called.

Chris [00:15:26]:
I don’t know. I used to to call it my my camera on a stick, and I got all these people into it, like, 2 years ago?

Sam [00:15:31]:
Yeah. You’ve had yours for ages.

Chris [00:15:33]:
Yeah. Because I had the old handy cam on it. Like, that’s how how old it was. And people you’d look at me. I go out. Remember going to the parade when the Chiefs won. Was it the last time they won the Super 12 or the time before? Whatever. And, you know, I’ve got my little handy cam on a stick, and everybody’s just looking at it.

Chris [00:15:53]:
It’s like it’s from outer space. So, obviously, it’s not a Bluetooth one because they didn’t have those then. What are you doing?

Sam [00:16:01]:
I’ve, it’s using the wrong camera, so it’s just Taking a photo that way.

Chris [00:16:05]:
Taking a photo of the shelves. Wonderful.

Sam [00:16:08]:
Yeah. Here we go. That’s that’s long. Did I mention been a very long day.

Chris [00:16:13]:
Poor old Sam. He’s been working for ages, then he comes around to my place.

Sam [00:16:18]:
And then we’re, I gotta get in this photo. Are you in the photo?

Chris [00:16:22]:
I’m in the corner of the photo. I’m pretty sure.

Sam [00:16:25]:
Yeah. Yeah. That’s awesome. Yeah. Thank you so much. It’s it’s really cool. It’s brilliant. That’s actually gonna help us out with Different things.

Chris [00:16:32]:
Oh, we’ll definitely use that. We will definitely use can can I have a look? Yeah. Hand that over.

Sam [00:16:38]:
It’s wireless. Wireless because there’s no wires connected to the camera phone. You’re overthinking it. I’ve read I’ve read the little blurb here. I’ve read the blurb. You’ve read the blurb? Okay. The the features is it’s strong and it thing.

Chris [00:16:54]:
It is light and it’s really small. It’s smaller than my one. It’s That’s pretty bloody cool, and it screws in

Sam [00:17:01]:
at the Yeah. Yeah. That’s one of the features.

Chris [00:17:04]:
Wow. Mine mine doesn’t do that. But then, like I said, I’ve had mine for years.

Sam [00:17:08]:
You you were you were an early adopter, so yours is pretty

Chris [00:17:11]:
Yeah. Like, I’ve got the the oldest Kindle, like, the 1st gen Kindle.

Sam [00:17:15]:
No. You don’t. Yeah. No. You don’t. You don’t have the full keyboard one?

Chris [00:17:20]:
Yeah. Really?

Sam [00:17:22]:
Oh, I don’t think you did. I thought you just had the one with just the sweet

Chris [00:17:26]:
I got it the the day they they, I preordered them before they came into New Zealand. So yeah. And and it’s like, I really love my Kindle, but I look at my flatmate’s got the, like, the newer one, and I’m like,

Sam [00:17:38]:
I think I’d like have the light up ones?

Chris [00:17:40]:
Yeah. I’d like I’d like the pipe paper white.

Sam [00:17:42]:
Yeah. Paper white is

Chris [00:17:43]:
a way

Sam [00:17:43]:
to go.

Chris [00:17:43]:
But I’m like, I can’t justify it. And I do love my Kindle, and I’ve had it for 3 years, 4 years, whatever. That is

Sam [00:17:50]:
all good. Sentimental about all that

Chris [00:17:51]:
other stuff. I know. I know. I get sentiment. That’s why I’m a hoarder. Look around this garage.

Sam [00:17:57]:
Christmas. Yeah. It’s all good. You never know when you need some stuff. I will need it one day. Actually, that actually, every time I come here and I Have you got this? Yeah. I’ve got one of those. It wanders off and comes back.

Sam [00:18:07]:
So it’s pretty good. And it’s all, like, weird connections that we need for audio cables and things where most people wouldn’t have a

Chris [00:18:23]:
Yeah. Yeah. Did we wanna say anything else? Oh, I gotta make a call out to oh, I don’t know if you’ve seen it, and I haven’t seen it. So I That’s why I wanna ask. Have you seen the the big news today about the New Zealand Post and the video? So I I’d seen the video on my feed before I went to work, but on on my Facebook feed, and, like, 3 people I knew posted it. But I, I just didn’t have time to watch it, so I left it. And then I was at work, didn’t have time to watch it, but I heard on the radio, like, it was on the news quite a bit that, New Zealand Post are taking, measures against these people. So it looks like somebody’s in a car park.

Chris [00:19:01]:
He’s, post van’s come up. Charisma. Started Dumping all these, presents out and kicking them around and then threw them back

Sam [00:19:07]:
in the van and drove on to transferring. They do it quite a bit. They’re transferring between the drivers from locations. Yeah. I I tweeted about it today, and, that doesn’t surprise me at all. That’s that’s pretty standard. That doesn’t surprise me at all.

Chris [00:19:22]:
Kicking it around?

Sam [00:19:23]:
Yeah. I’ve worked in bulk transport before and non couriers. And, you know, we’ve been dealing with, the stuff I dealt with was, Big stuff on forklifts. Yeah. And just just the stuff that gets moved around and dumped and pushed and thrown and, yeah, Does it surprise me?

Chris [00:19:39]:
Yeah. I I I send small packages, and they

Sam [00:19:41]:
There is no there is no this is what people need to remember. There is no fragile service In New Zealand, for sending things for our courier. It’s in their agreement. You can put as many fragile stickers on something as you want. It doesn’t mean anything. So when the courier picks it up, all your stuff is stacked on top of something else or underneath something else. Yep. And I don’t know if they do it by weight With the heaviest thing at the bottom, I think they just put it in the bin for the courier.

Sam [00:20:16]:
Then the courier picks it all up, puts it into his van. And their vans are chocker because They get paid per delivery. They don’t wanna keep going back to the warehouse every 5 deliveries, so they put as much in a van as possible. Yeah. And everything is stacked on

Chris [00:20:32]:
the comes down to how well you package your stuff.

Sam [00:20:35]:
Yes. Yep. Definitely. Definitely. And I

Chris [00:20:38]:
but it’s we do that. So I I I deliver stuff for the web Store. Yep. Maybe I should catch shout out for Health 2000 web store.

Sam [00:20:45]:
Health 2000 is the place I go when I wanna buy supplements online. Just wanna say that.

Chris [00:20:50]:
Yeah. So, Actually, do

Sam [00:20:52]:
you get a staff discount?

Chris [00:20:53]:
Yeah. I do.

Sam [00:20:54]:
Oh, sweet. I need I need I need I need you to hook me

Chris [00:20:57]:
up with something. We we could sort that out. We could sort that out. So yeah. But no. So I I wrap pretty much all the health two thousand, Web store orders. And, yeah. No.

Chris [00:21:09]:
And and we send them around the world, which is quite interesting too. I send stuff to France, USA Bank USA.

Sam [00:21:16]:
Pretty intensive packaging, and it always surprises me because I never quite know how it’s gonna turn up is. Yeah? They do they use those air filled bags Yeah. To package everything. And they posted on guess how many packages they packaged up yesterday It sent 12,000. Holy smokes. And they showed a picture of it of of Thousands of packages all rode up just waiting for the courier to come get it. Wow.

Chris [00:21:44]:
Because yesterday was a big day for us. Today was not so much, but, yesterday. Well, because we had orders from the whole weekend and stuff, and so I was pretty flat out yesterday.

Sam [00:21:54]:
But, back back to the couriers, I’m I’m glad that New Zealand Post is following this up, and there’ll be some sort of action. Yep. But like I said, it, they, Yeah. It it’s just normal, I think, in my experience, in my opinion.

Chris [00:22:08]:
But you haven’t seen the video, so I don’t know

Sam [00:22:10]:
if you want to. Have seen the video. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Chris [00:22:12]:
Oh, because I have.

Sam [00:22:13]:
If you buy fruit and vegetables, all I will say is just make sure you wash them so well before you use them. I used to work in distribution of fruit and vegetables, and I know what goes on.

Chris [00:22:24]:
Okay. Because Alright. Shall we move the chains?

Sam [00:22:27]:
Well, most of the most of the stuff you get comes in crates. Yep. And they and and and this stuff’s been on a truck, and then it’s been on a forklift, and then it’s been moved around about 400 times. Yeah. And and then it’s at a supermarket. And, yeah. And that’s just the normal day to day stuff, not the crazy stuff that we used to get up to back in the day That I won’t tell you about.

Chris [00:22:48]:
No. Tell me afterwards. Yeah. Okay. So, that’s cool.

Sam [00:22:53]:
And and it’s Christmas in 2 days’ time?

Chris [00:22:55]:
Yes. That’s pretty cool. So by the time this podcast comes out, it will probably just been into the new year. Will that be right?

Sam [00:23:03]:
No. I might try and I’m gonna try and push this out pretty quick.

Chris [00:23:06]:
Okay. Cool. Good good to know.

Sam [00:23:08]:
Good to know. Good to know. Because people need to listen to this. Yes. You know, people want to listen to this.

Chris [00:23:13]:
Well yeah. Now I I’ve gotta be able gotta remind me to tweet that I finally opened my to Chris Santas saying that

Sam [00:23:19]:
Yes. I’ll I’ll probably remind you later.

Chris [00:23:22]:
I’m wondering whether I should take a photo of it, but I’m thinking I should open it, and we should have fudge now.

Sam [00:23:28]:
I’m not

Chris [00:23:29]:
You know,

Sam [00:23:29]:
I’m not, like, no. No. I’m not against that plan. That’s what I wanted to say. But what I did wanna talk about real quick Yep. Christmas in general, and I was thinking about Christmas stories, and I I’m not sure if you have that many interesting ones, to be honest.

Chris [00:23:42]:
I don’t think I’ve got any of them. Yeah. Is that making too much sense?

Sam [00:23:48]:
I can’t hear that on my headphones, but I’m sure later on, that’s gonna be like crazy ass.

Chris [00:23:55]:
So we’re sampling the chocolate verge. While we wait for Santa, think about his Christmas story. Oh, he’s taking a selfie with a fudge in his mouth. It’s hilarious. Okay. So back in the

Sam [00:24:11]:
day, I looked in Rotorua. I was pretty much, I was planning by myself at this time. I think my flatmate had moved to Tauranga. He’s now my brother-in-law. And my sister was also flailing in Rotorua, but she was flailing in a in a different part of town, but only about 10 minute drive away. This is gonna sound terrible on this podcast with us eating.

Chris [00:24:34]:
Did you, introduce your flatmate and your sister?

Sam [00:24:39]:
Yeah.

Chris [00:24:39]:
How’d that work out for you?

Sam [00:24:41]:
They, they didn’t wanna tell me for the longest time, and they were sneaking around behind my back. And there was some party at my house. And every time I went outside, I didn’t realize, but his sister was running to the light switch and flicking on and off, which meant I was coming. And then when they told then I found out, I was like, oh, okay. Cool. Didn’t bother me. So, No. That’s cool.

Sam [00:25:04]:
It was interesting. But at the time, this Christmas, she used to live with this guy. He was very OCD with cleaning. Very OCD. So every Sunday was oven cleaning day. It was also maybe the Saturday afternoon or something was Clean the wooden floors you have to get out of the house today. You couldn’t be in there because you’re swiping everything down. Wow.

Sam [00:25:29]:
So that was all good. He’d come to my place and freak. Would. Right. You know, your house is lived in. That’s that’s what

Chris [00:25:37]:
I think there’s a term. Yeah. I like that term.

Sam [00:25:40]:
Well, there’s there’s disgustingly dirty. There’s dirty. There’s lived in. There’s, like, ultra clean, and then you know? Yeah. So you you’re okay. You’re in the middle. It’s all good. So that was all good.

Sam [00:25:54]:
And he so he was off to clean, and We it was Christmas Eve, and someone was having a party. And we went along to this party, and back in the day, you could get a 5 liter mini keg of Woodstock Bourbon and Cola. Oh, yeah. And that’s what I used to have with me when I went out. So I had this little mini keg with me And I was just drinking this little mini keg, and I must have drunk in about 4 liters of it by myself. That’s a fair bit. Yeah. I was pretty far gone.

Sam [00:26:24]:
And for some reason, my sister said, just crash at my place. It’ll be fine. Okay. Cool. And I only remember bits and pieces, so she had to tell me what happened. And she goes, here’s the spare mattress on the floor in in her room, and I just fell I passed out and missed the mattress and just hit the floor. And, that’s where she left me. And at some point, I needed to get up.

Sam [00:26:48]:
I was, like, I have to get up. I have to get up. I gotta go to the toilet. I gotta go to the toilet. So I I remember going to the toilet and then I don’t remember anything else. But, apparently, I started running around their house Up and down the hallway as fast as I could because I thought it was cool. And, I was I think I said yelling. So I was running around and running around, and Her OCD flatmate got up and was not happy not happy at all.

Sam [00:27:12]:
And I was like, it’s okay. And then, At some point, I I found my way back in the room, and I passed out, standing up again and, found I missed the mattress gift Just slammed into the floor. And then the next morning, I wasn’t too flash, and I said, oh, you gotta take me back to my place. I’ve gotta change my shirt. And then we went up to mom and dad’s for Christmas, and I just turned up and I just walked straight in and said, I need to go to sleep. And I slept for about 4 hours. And then, when I woke up, I was like, oh, there’s some food and there’s some presents.

Chris [00:27:44]:
Yay, man. Family Christmas ever. Wow.

Sam [00:27:47]:
That that didn’t that didn’t faze mom and dad and No one else is coming around. And I think it was just us, but, I don’t remember a lot of it.

Chris [00:27:54]:
That’s that’s awesome.

Sam [00:27:55]:
And I

Chris [00:27:56]:
wouldn’t have picked that for you. I haven’t known you that long, I guess, really.

Sam [00:28:00]:
I I don’t I don’t really drink anymore.

Chris [00:28:02]:
Yeah. Yeah.

Sam [00:28:04]:
Yeah. I’ll tell I won’t tell you this, Toby. I’ve got more stories. But that that OCD guy, he, ended up finding love with some Russian lady on the Internet. Hey, founder on the Internet. So

Chris [00:28:26]:
there’s hope for me. That’s what you’re saying?

Sam [00:28:28]:
I well, I I assume he I don’t know if he paid for you. It’s like, you know

Chris [00:28:33]:
So there might not be that much hope. No. Wow.

Sam [00:28:36]:
Who knows?

Chris [00:28:37]:
Thanks, Sam.

Sam [00:28:37]:
So that’s my Christmas story. And if that doesn’t fill you with joy, I don’t know what will.

Chris [00:28:42]:
4 liters of bourbon would pretty much fill me with joy, I think.

Sam [00:28:46]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was a good time. Good time. I’m actually I’m actually quite gutted. They don’t do those little mini kicks.

Chris [00:28:55]:
Yeah. Well, no. The the

Sam [00:28:56]:
new little because I think that works

Chris [00:28:57]:
it’s the volume. You can’t give that much volume. Yeah. Sell that much volume of alcohol in 1 1 vessel anymore. Gutted.

Sam [00:29:06]:
So anyway Well, that’s it. So, Christmas Christmas special.

Chris [00:29:10]:
Christmas special. Yes. So Hope you all out there do have a great Christmas. Have fun. Stay safe. With those people that, are important to you. You know? Say hello to everybody. And, yeah, like Sam says, stay safe.

Chris [00:29:24]:
